Can you please explain what you were thinking at 3:40 as you were cycling through airlines and saw DAL "not doing a whole lot"? What instinctively made you buy it instead of being cautious that it wasn't following the sector?

They often look for sympathy plays. If a sector is popping and there is a lagger, oods are itll move in the direction of its sector eventually. Sometimes it doesnt, but its worth taking the chance. At least, thats what most people will tell you, and in the market, its go with the flow...

Things tend to get a little convoluted and erratic when trading on a 1 minute bar chart. Technical indicators jump up and down, and the chart itself looks much more jumbled. The 5 minute chart acts as a natural "lowpass filter" so to speak. It filters out some of the crazyness, and leaves you with something that can be dealt with in a meaningful manner.

Well said on both questions Mike. The DAL trade was a lagging possibility. The lagers don't always go, but they are worth a chance sometimes if you are not sure.
